I began my teaching career in 2005 by teaching 6th grade math and coaching middle school girls here at West Texas Middle School. After two years, I moved to the elementary where I taught 3rd grade reading, science, and math. I became principal of the elementary in 2012 and continued in that position for 3 years. I am now the counselor at West Texas High School and am thrilled to be serving these students.
Immediately after graduating from college, I worked with children diagnosed with Autism in their homes and in their community setting in Charlotte, NC. After moving back to Texas, I worked as a Child Abuse Investigator with Child Protective Services before becoming a teacher in 2005.
I am married to my husband, Cory, and we have 5 children that all attend West Texas Schools. We all bleed red and gold and love the Comanches! We have 2 dogs, Jack and Raider.
My hobbies surround my family. We love to attend sporting events, go snow skiing, and vacation when able.
